The Silent Legacy project was born from a powerful meeting with Adeline Kerry Cruz, a young Krump prodigy of 8 living in Montreal. Krump stands for “Kingdom Radically Uplifted Mighty Praise”. This 'urban' dance form originated in the ghettos of Los Angeles in the nineties. Fascinated by Adeline's embodiment of the dance, although it is far removed from the protest origin of Krump, Maud Le Pladec decides to dedicate a danced portrait of her, which she confronts with another portrait : that of Audrey Merilus, a contemporary dancer. Just like Adeline, she has that strong interpretation and radical authenticity in her dance. In the form of two solos, very different in their aesthetic, the piece wants to deconstruct the norms of oppression and command. With this new creation, Maud Le Pladec continues the research she started with counting stars with you, her previous performance about gender and cultural identity but also and above all about the filiation in dance.
Co-produced with Le Théâtre du Nord, CDN Lille Tourcoing Hauts-de-France and Le Gymnase CDCN as part of the Forever Young festival
