By reconstructing spectacular mise en scènes of political men and women, Emilie Rousset continues her exploration into the friction between reality and fiction, between the archive and how it lives on. A distant and playful look at the public performances of our elected politicians.
Ode an die Freude by Beethoven the night of his election for the new president Emmanuel Macron, punk song by Nina Hagen at the end of Angela Merkel's mandate : the political personalities don't hesitate to play the melomaniac when it comes to colouring their image. With comedians Anne Steffens and Manuel Vallade, Emilie Rousset reconstructs these choreographed appearances focusing less on the false movements than the strategies used in order to win the membership...
