A fixture at NEXT, this year's Panorama expo introduces you to the world of transdisciplinary technologies in visual art, sound and digital art. We manage to invent technologies that in their turn reinvent us. In a boundless new reality, more than 50 artists explore what this means for their work. The Panorama 26 exhibition confirms that today - more than ever - any resemblance to reality is not mere coincidence in contemporary artistic practice.
Through assemblages, experiments, recontextualisations, downloads and appropriations from music, film, architecture, science and the visual arts, this exhibition brings together the research work of more than 50 artists who realise that art, science and artistic practice are essential allies in deciphering our experience of a reality expanded by technology. In a critical, poetic and transformative way, this exhibition depicts how a reality shaped by technology seeps into the arts.
