Thank you to all the artists, spectators, participants, collaborators, and partners of the 18th edition of the NEXT festival!
Over a period of 20 days, artists from 20 countries took no fewer than 12,991 spectators on a journey into a world of dreams, discoveries, surprises and breathtaking dance and theatre performances. Spread across 17 French and Belgian cities, in and around the Eurometropolis, they invited us to look differently, listen to unheard voices and share moments of sadness, hope and joy with each other.

NEXT - on the path to accessibility
Once again this year, NEXT and its partners continued their efforts to make the festival more accessible with:
- shows that are naturally accessible to people with different disabilities,
- 1 in 3 buses accessible to people with reduced mobility,
- 3 shows with connected glasses to help deaf or hard-of-hearing people understand the subtitles,
- 15 audio-described performances for blind or visually impaired people,
- a relaxed performance and accessible and adapted reception areas for neurodivergent people or people with mental disabilities,
- communication that has been revisited and adapted to the different needs of the audience: trigger warnings and pictograms for all shows, brochures in clear language and large font.
These actions are made possible thanks to the support of Interreg VI France–Wallonia–Flanders as part of the NEXESSIBLE project and the City of Kortrijk in the case of the SAMEN NEXT project.
