In Meg Stuart's new performance six performers and three musicians meet each other in a place that could be a nightclub as well as an arena : an unreliable, underground refuge, a place of longing and illusion. To the music of booming basses, piano and drums they undertake hopeful efforts to stick to impossible deadlines. The prominent American choreographer Meg Stuart, who works from Brussels and Berlin, let herself be inspired by personalities who have withdrawn from reality and have designed their own system of rules. The performers embody these 'freaky insiders' who try to make contact in an uneasy way, somewhere in between naivety and despair. As usual with Meg Stuart the fighting spirit of the vulnerable body is at the centre.
