Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (Morocco / Belgium) & Gregory Maqoma (South Africa)
South African Gregory Maqoma and Belgian Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui met at the dance school P.A.R.T.S in Brussels They discovered that they shared a similar vision of contemporary dance. In 2001, Maqoma created the duet Southern Comfort with dancer Shannell Winlock. In 2009, Maqoma asked Sidi Larbi to create a duet for him and Winlock - the result is Bound. With this double bill, NEXT brings two big names from the contemporary dance fi eld together in a fascinating cross-cultural clash.
