‘Death makes us look at life in a diff erent way – more intense, more complete.’ These are the words of Jan Fabre, who in his dance solo Preparatio Mortis celebrates life as a preparation for death. Dancer Annabelle Chambon rises from a flower carpet of thousands of yellow, red, purple and white flowers. Fabre brings, as he often does, sublime beauty in relation with ultimate decay.
