With ECCE(H)OMO and ALEXANDRE (NEXT 2018) Pol Pi created two solos whose purpose was to interpret an archive through the body. Now the choreographer approaches the theme via the unique archives of each individual. By inviting two dancers who find themselves at different moments in time, in different cultures and sexes, he creates a crossroads between three generations and three stories : Pol Pi, the dancer and choreographer born in 1982, trained in music, physical theatre and butoh, Solen Athanassopoulos, born in 2001, a freestyle hip-hop dancer and Jean-Christophe Paré, born in 1957, a former dancer of the Opéra de Paris.

In daté.e.s bodies become seismographs of intimate signs, in which the intensity, the longing and the commitment of a position in the present are read. From the biographical to the collective and from the collective to the intimate : the ways in which they move and exchange start off a questioning to which the three bodies offer their utmost personal answer. By means of the personal archive of each of them, consisting of gestures, voices, memories, Pi creates an otherness in which a political landscape and a subjective plurality take shape.

Pol Pi is a Brazilian trans choreographer who has been living and working in France since 2013. Before he got to know contemporary dance, he worked in theatre, music and opera, and was a professional musician for more than 10 years. Pol Pi's work navigates around questions about memory, translation and the notion of archive in dance, with fragility, intimacy and doubt as his home base. In 2017 he founded the company NO DRAMA in France.
