Hamlet

Oskaras Korsunovas (Lithuania) & OKT/Vilnius City Theatre (Lithuania)

195 minutes

Shakespeare’s Hamlet has lost nothing of its topicality, quite the contrary. This Lithuanian version transposes Hamlet’s seemingly absurd dilemma to our present times more successfully than ever. Through a very physical performance, Koršunovas warns us to beware of a ‘safe’ existence; nothing could be as dangerous as certainty.
