A dance performance based on the book Merce Cunningham: Fifty years, combined with pictures of the grand master’s life. Charmatz has his dancers execute the sequence of photos/images from the beginning till the end as homage to one of the most acclaimed choreographers of all times!

The last edition of the Ghent-based Timefestival is a book! Curators/artists Dirk Braeckman and Els Dietvorst asked roughly 50 artists to put the essence of their art down on paper. For (Art Centre) Buda, this book is not the end piece in a closed cycle. Lucas Coeman creates a thinking place, a temporary void, an installation in which Buda’s resident artists can elaborate on the issue. On 21/11, Boris Charmatz (one of the artists in the book), will ceremoniously open this permanently evolving temporary museum.
