Dub Love

François Chaignaud (France) & Cecilia Bengolea (France / Argentina)

50 minutes

Those who have ever seen the unforgettable performance (M)imosa surely remember François Chaignaud and Cécilia Bengolea. In their cooperation both dancers energetically adopt styles such as 'voguing' and 'twerking'.In their new creation Dub Love they opted for dub, the music originating from the rastafari movement at the end of the sixties. This genre has influenced all later electronic music : nowadays dub is about the hippest dance style at huge festivals such as Tomorrowland. Against a rear wall full of big soundblasters -the physical impact of the basses can be felt in the auditorium !- Chaignaud and Bengolea move through space together with dancer Ana Pi like three graces on points. What a freedom and dance pleasure in Dub Love, driven live on stage by dj High Elements.
