In Black Warrior Lisa Östberg and Kim Hiorthoy ask themselves what a performance is. Is it an action ? Is it sex ? Violence ? Sport ? Excitement ? The whole 'making-of' of a performance is exposed in Black Warrior, from the first idea to the final product. Even the expectations of the audience are analysed. The art of creating is demystified and shared with the spectators through illustrations, funny songs and logical reasoning. “Black Warrior will change the way you think and feel. Forever.” That's what the Swedish dancer, scriptwriter and director Lisa Östberg and the Norwegian musician and artist Kim Hiorthoy promise us. Oh yes, furthermore, there's still something mysterious about a Spanish lesson, the film All the President's Men and black pencils. Who dares ?
