A playful and musical exploration of our linguistic usage for young people from 6 to 106.
From 2007 already, the 'Encyclopédie de la parole' (a collective of theatre makers, poets, musicians...founded by Joris Lacoste) registers the most divergent forms of human language usage. From the conductor who urges us on to board the train and the sports reporter who runs through the line-up to the vlogsters who gets all worked up : they all get a second life in their online database ánd on stage.
The performance blablabla focuses on the world of experience of the child. Armelle Dousset, the only actress on stage, makes a chain of all possible sentences children meet on their way : sentences they hear every day, sentences which they take in, repeat, deform, invent.
This gives rise to a myriad of images : only through the power of words, Dousset starts off an enormous imagination both with young and old. It is this very imagination that makes the imaginary world of children possible, a world in which the headmaster can suddenly be Voldemort and their mother Snowwhite
Children have no problems at all yet with the succession of fiction and reality,
of representation and action, and these are the very domains of theatre. Blablabla is a tribute to the power of imagination and wonderment, an inner journey through various landscapes, metamorphoses and surprises. A playful and musical exploration of our language usage for young people from 6 to 106.
Next to blablabla the Encyclopédie de la parole also presents Suite No.3 'Eurovision' at NEXT.
