Opgericht door Claire Pasquier en Sarah Théry, ontwikkelt COLLECTIF MEUTE multidisciplinaire horizontale creaties die geëngageerd en toegankelijk zijn voor niet-professionals. Een politieke benadering die werkt aan de ontwikkeling van de toegang tot de podiumkunsten en de opera.
FURIEUX, burgeropera, LA SYMPHONIE DE GRILLE-PAINS, muzikale impromptu, (EINE) WINTERREISE, elektro-lyrische performance, l'ISOLOIR, interactieve installatie: dit zijn allemaal collaboratieve, immersieve en participatieve werken die het creatieve proces vormgeven als vrije ruimtes voor expressie, onderzoek en samenwerking.
COLLECTIF MEUTE ontwikkelt ook onderzoeks-actie-creatieprojecten in samenwerking met de Universiteit van Lille en de Stichting CARASSO. De laatste creatie, (EINE) WINTERREISE, in coproductie met de Opera van Lille, is finalist voor de prestigieuze FEDORA Onderwijsprijs. Ze gaat in de herfst van 23 in première. Het team, dat verankerd is in de regio Hauts-de-France, breidt zijn actieterrein uit tot België in het kader van grensoverschrijdende projecten en heeft een internationaal bereik dankzij partnerschappen met de Europese netwerken ENOA en RESEO en het Franse Instituut.
Sarah Théry
Mezzo-Soprano - Dramaturge
The French Mezzo Sarah Théry combining a dark and strong voice with a commanding stage presence and a probing intellect, has headlined productions and concerts at preeminent arts institutions around Europe. Sarah is also a voice of social consciousness. She explores and develops new forms of performances, adapted to a larger audience.
She co-founded COLLECTIF MEUTE un 2019 to develop projects that share a sound, formal and process research, with citizens, artists, researchers. She has been working regularly in prison as well as with social and educational centers. In 2020, at the demand of the Festival d’Aix en Provence she created Vibrations, a participatory show around opera for voice and vibraphone adapted for all sorts of audiences. She also founded the quartet Ensemble Tempus which mixes baroque repertoire with jazz and world music .
Holding a Bachelor degree in French Modern Literature she combines her passion for writing with her work as a performer by presenting a weekly radio show on the national channel Musiq3 in Belgium.

Claire Pasquier studied fine arts in France and set design in Milan insta Brera Academy. After working as a set designer and photographer, she worked as an assistant director in opera in France, Italy, Germany and Austria. She co-founded COLLECTIF MEUTE un 2019 to develop projects that share a sound, formal and process research, with citizens, artists, researchers. The team designs inclusive and inovative ceation processes, hybrid artistical forms and economical models.
Claire develops a scenic language based on the diversity of the performers and their singularities, using participatory projects as a key to create bridges between an art that can be difficult to access and a renewed public that reflects our society. She makes the act of creation itself a militant gesture and a research and mediation process, experimenting with new forms and narratives.
