NEXT is over again. Time for a party ! And what a party ! La Zouze specialises in partying, costumes, fun and extravagance. Don’t miss it : it will be the talk of the town. See You Next Time takes place in the turbulent zone between performance and fancy dressing, between ball and tableau vivant. It is a theatre lab in which eras and styles, art and heritage, bodies and landscapes are linked with each other. What sort of story results from this ? The utopian, baroque, excessive and decadent La Zouze travels around and constantly reinvents itself. A new place means a new approach. In the build-up to the party La Zouze works together with local people. They organise workshops of choreography or scenery for them. And also their inspiration gives the event a great part of its somewhat bizarre but undeniably unique look. And you are cordially invited !
The dance company La Zouze was founded by Christophe Haleb in Marseille 20 years ago. It is driven by interdisciplinarity and group dynamics. Again and again, Haleb creates an imaginary world that is grafted onto the real one and is composed of elements from our urban, popular, choreographic, erotic, physcial and philosophical culture.
