What happens if you bring together a group of whirling acrobats and a fearless choreographer ? The French company Cie XY was founded in 2005 by the duo Abdel Senhadji and Mahmoud Louertani. Cie XY stands for spectacular and virtuoso acrobatics and combines poetry and airiness, as the successful performances Le Grand C and Il n'est pas encore minuit showed par excellence. By now the company receives standing ovations home and abroad.
For Möbius the collective works together with top choreographer Rachid Ouramdane who likes going over the line of contemporary dance. Ouramdane eagerly explores new territories, both geographically and artistically, for instance by integrating modern technology into his work or working together with sportsmen. At a previous edition of NEXT he showed the breathtaking Tenir le temps.
The result of this exciting meeting is a show that challenges gravity, celebrates the illusion of weightlessness and zooms through the air at a dizzy speed. Fly along with Möbius which is inspired by flocks of birds,schools of fish and wonderful movements of nature. The wonderful view these makers promise you underway ? Landscapes sculptured by bodies, light and sound.

La Compagnie XY bénéficie du soutien du ministère de la culture et de la communication / direction régionale des affaires culturelles Hauts-de-France, au titre de l’aide à la compagnie conventionnée à rayonnement national et international. Elle est associée au Phénix scène nationale à Valenciennes dans le cadre du Pôle Européen de création ainsi qu’au Cirque-Théâtre d’Elbeuf – Pôle national des arts du cirque Normandie. Elle est également accompagnée depuis 2016 par la fondation Bnp-Paribas.
