In the installation Loss/Layers, dance and video are so strongly intertwined that either of them can hardly be distinguished. The body of dancer Yum Keiko Takayama is the canvas for the projected animations. She tries to resist the flashing terror of image and sound that comes at her faster and faster, as if mankind is about to lose the struggle with technology rushing past.
The French artists' collective Alter Sessio takes you along on an immersion trip on the boundary of reality and illusion. As a spectator you experience this performance with growing amazement. A journalist from Singapore wrote : “Watching this show was so powerful that I left the venue shaken and out of breath.” Loss/Layers is an intense ritual which can't possibly leave anyone unmoved.
