Marika Rizzi dances in a cube of hardly two metres by one (is that still a cube ??) caught in a web of threads which, by their firmness and flexibility, makes for a hypnotizing performance. The Italian Marika Rizzi has worked together with Steve Paxton and has danced with a lot of European companies. The installation of Cesser d'être un was made by the French philosopher and visual artist Laurent Goldring, who worked together with o.a. Xavier Le Roy, Benoît Lachambre and star dancer Louise Lecavalier of La La La Human Steps in the past. This creation, which stands midway between a performance and an installation in a museum, is an enchanting labyrinth in the air in which the dancer challenges gravity. What is more, every show of Cesser d'être un is unique !
