Two women, one fire
Anna Gaiotti and Tatiana Julien first met on stage. In this way the plastic, incarnated and sensitive universe of the first mixed with the open, fiery and in situ of the second. It was an important meeting, one of those when one realizes one has to take it further and give substance to this (female) synergy.
This is how a new common project was born, a choreographic duet titled Une Nuit Entière. In this naked time, the dawn caresses two women who wriggle. The play area is circular, like a fire around which one can warm oneself, or like circular villages that communities of women have built. Here, the fire is this double body from which strange chants emanate. With their intertwined gestures two women – two flames – remind us of chimeras and killing goddesses. They are a circus of their own, carnal and sensual. They break with the feminine form society wants to impose upon them.
