And the light...led the dance

In a world punctuated by an overflow of images, R É V E R B É R E R is imagined as a care session for the eyes. Dance and light are intertwined. The light is here the starting point and its presence defines what we see or don't see. How and what do we see ? What can't we see ? And what is it that sometimes blinds us ? How does light produces spaces for dance and inversely how the body invents places of light ? On stage we will form a group that is simultaneously a community of dazzled people and an extravoyant clan with an acute sense for details. At the limit of the field of vision, we'll give glimpses of the rules of our choreographic games. Our “to see” experiences pushes the spectators to ask themselves what is actually being seen. With an assumed taste for illusion and the absurde, we will play with the codes of Shadowgraphy - an art that emerged in the 19th century, and consisted in making shadows with the hands by placing them in front of a light source. A space that is simple but complex, that takes care for the nuances, where the bodies give back the light and reflect the shade. A place where we like to observe and welcome the polysemy of images, that acknowledges our shadow side but doesn't renounce to harmony. R É V E R B É R E R is an adventure for the gaze on the margins of perception.
