JJ's Voices

Benoît Lachambre (Canada) & Cullberg (Sweden / Netherlands)

60 minutes

Janis Joplin is alive and kicking! The Canadian choreographer Benoît Lachambre became inspired by Joplin’s unique voice and wrote a choreography especially for the famous Swedish Cullberg Ballet dance company. Lachambre explores the agility of Joplin's voice through the body of his dancers. JJ's Voices is not about Janis Joplin, but about finding authenticity in expression, about abandoning fears.
