"Donnez-moi une minute" is a series of danced portraits of one minute each. Twenty Colombian dancers willingly confront the camera of the French video artist and choreographer Doria Belanger, thus revealing a hint of their identity.

Belanger is fascinated by the way in which our movements also show our personality and cultural background : how we move defines who we are. Since 2002 she has been making experimental dance films in which the camera enters into a dialogue with movement.

"Donnez-moi une minute" is part of a cultural cooperation between France and Colombia, which contains more than 250 projects that bring both nations closer together.
