The exhibition ABC – Art Belge Contemporain brings together 52 artists with a diverse profi le. However, they are all in one way or another connected to Belgium – and in this way ABC shows that there is indeed a young ‘Belgian’ generation of contemporary artists. ABC – Art Belge Contemporain wants to rethink the notions of centre and periphery, distance and proximity on the basis of work by Guillaume Bijl, Jan Fabre, Marcel Broodthaers, Johan Grimonprez, Wim Delvoye, Jacques Charlier…
