Products of other circumstances is a mesmerizing lecture-dance performance in which Xavier Le Roy builds bridges between body and mind, between rational knowledge and the unfathomable forces of the unconscious. It is an experiment in which the story of the production itself is revealed: Le Roy shows his struggle with the Japanese butoh, his successes and failures, his search for the secrets of the dance.
